In 2017, Vidéographe published Istvan Kantor – Video Anthology a USB box set of 29 video works curated by Etienne Desrosiers. This project allowed us to add thirty four of the artist’s videos to our catalogue.
The films Insurgence (2013), Rupture (2016) and Contrepoint (2016) adresse the 2012 student political movement in Quebec. Projected in the form of an art installation, they form Fraction (2016).
Selected from Videographe’s collection, these works raise ethical and moral questions, and sometimes test the viewer’s limits.
